Make the most of Leksi with our open-ended questions checklist
Pro-tips for maximising results with Leksi!
Set the stage, control the characters.
Instruct participants to write between 30–200 characters. Either set a range or specify it in the question (e.g., "Your answer should be between 30 and 120 characters").
More data = more insight
Data Overload? Bring It On! The bigger the dataset, the richer the insights. Go for 300–500 responses to unlock meaningful, representative results.
Got a question covering multiple concepts? Activate super resolution.
For questions that juggle multiple ideas, activate super resolution to keep things crystal clear. If your question’s already precise, there is no need to activate super resolution.
No comparisons, no confusion.
Don't bundle up options—split them! Asking "A or B? Why?" can throw off the model. Separate the questions for answers that actually make sense.
Keep it simple, ask one question at a time.
Steer clear of asking several questions in one sentence. Formulate each question separately to obtain clearer and more precise answers.
Frame questions positively or negatively to highlight sentiment.
Formulate questions in the positive ("What do you like?") or negative ("What do you dislike?" or "What would you improve?") to simplify analysis.
Spark thoughtful responses with targeted prompts
"Encourage deeper reflection and critical thinking with prompts like, 'Reflect on your experience with...' or 'What’s your least favorite aspect? Even if you like everything, identify one area for improvement.'"
